We travel to the outskirts of Manchester to Salford Quays set beside the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal. With a variety of free entry attractions all within easy walking distance; the multi award winning Imperial War Museum North, the Lowry Gallery housing the world's largest public collection of L.S. Lowry paintings and drawings, the adjacent Quayside Shopping Outlet and the vibrant MediaCity concourse. Today there should also be a Makers’ Market with a number of food and craft stalls supporting
local artisans and independents.
