A festive day out beginning at the historic Nottinghamshire town of Newark-on-Trent. Renowned for its antique shops, there is also an open-air market and a variety of independent shops and cafes. This afternoon we visit the family-run Pennells Garden Centre in Lincolnshire, still owned by the same family who have been gardening experts since 1780. With spectacular Christmas displays, decorations, gifts, plants, a food hall including an award-winning butchers, and a spacious restaurant.
